OpHelp was created by Strani in 2003 to act as an aid channel allowing the ChanOps to provide help, support and information to IrCQnets ever growing userbase. Over time the channel has undergone many changes including anti idle systems, to a no idle system. The no idle system is somewhat unique to #OpHelp in terms that it will remove all users ( helpers and above exempt ) after a selective time period is up.

The channel has a strict help policy which is covered within the Rules page. OpHelp makes use of users from around the network dubbing them as ''helpers'' the helpers tasks are to greet and support users on entry and help aid them wherever possible. Helpers that are:
  • Not Helpful
  • Do not turn up
  • Abuse there presense
are removed, while getting helpers status is not always possible due to the limited number of spots we wish to give to ensure we know exactly who''s who etc etc. If you are interested in being a helper it is advised you contact an IRCop but you should have at least a basic grasp on what exactly IRC is, some basic commands - manual not click and a very decent knowledge of services is almost a must
