Helpers addon for mIRC - All services commands and ban message meanings

This addon was written by fake  one of our ops, for ops and Helpers, to make sure they are giving people the correct answers when they ask for any services commands or the meanings/times of ban messages.

To Load - Place the helpers.mrc file in your script folder then type:

 /load -rs Helper.mrc

you should then see  it in yur nicklist and query menu.

Kudos to fake for taking the time to write this addon and to ReBBie for putting all of these commands  on her website. The addon of course is not mandatory for helpers, but for those of you not 100% sure of the commands I think you will find this very helpful.

I must admit I find this article a little disturbing. You mean to tell me you're
letting users who are not even competent using IRC commands help other users to
figure out these commands..?

Well, I guess the old adage, 'if you can't do,
teach' really works here. You would think that you'd have some sort of standard
to become a helper, least of which is a grasp of the basic commands on the
unreal ircd, but I guess not! Why should they learn how when they have a trusty
script that can do it for them.

I will be honest, though. Given the
intelligence of most of the operators I have encountered I am not surprised the
helpers are inept. I find every time I'm in ophelp they're pretty
useless.

It's IRC, not rocket science. -_-

There are certain requirement to become a helper; for one, you should know basic
knowledge of IRC (commands, script etc).

The helper script as it quotes
"for ops and Helpers, to make sure they are giving people the correct
answers".
Its a helping tool to improve their knowledge/understand ing on
IrCQ/IRC (besides the "/helpop" command), especially new recruits.
It
gives them faster access to the commands in time of need, rather then browsing
through the web which takes time.
It is packed with resourceful guidelines and
resources, so helpers should learn, understand and and prefereably apply them.

In my opinion, each helper has his/her own strength/ability. They play a
key/important role in #OpHelp whereby they assistance users, take in reports and
help monitor icq main channels when an op is absent. So saying they`re
"Useless" really sounds a little harsh to me.

I deliberatly didnt bother replying to this one ss its not worth yur time hun
its nick alone says it all

The helpers do a fine job we dont have to answer
to rude ppl like the above
