A masked IP on Unreal is a method in which the IRCd takes your ip and converts it undo a new "visible" host, so nobody other than yourself and IRCops can see your ip address unless you give them it via things like DCC etc etc

Often you will need your ip address to either remove a zline work with some access restricted service/bot or anything along those lines. We suggest the usage of http://www.whatismyip.com/

To view the current ignores your bot has on his system use the command: .ignores You can also search for a specific ignore using wildcards to find the ignore your looking for: .ignores NickServ!*@*

Most IRC users like to idle while there sleeping, normally on an away nick. Changes to the windows operating system often lead to unwanted reboots which in turn disconnect a user from IRC and often do not restart that connection on there own. One way although not advised to do so is to turn off windows automatic updates
- Go to Control Panel
- Click on Automatic Updates
- Click Disable
This may differ on later versions of windows i.e Windows Vista.
