Changes
Some of you may have noticed over the past few days we have made some extensive changes to the entire system, we have dropped the forums all together in favour for comments as this seems to be the better way for users to offer there input on specific subject matters. We also are now accepting input from anyone who wishes to give it.

You can now submit Documents/FAQ entries of News to the site, however it must and should be noted that any content submitted must be written correctly and be as informative as possible - these are some guidelines on submitting documents within the submission page. We have also dropped the community site this simply did not get the attention from the userbase so it was removed as per what we started in our last news post.

Along with the content and registration changes we have adopted a new look to the site which should be more functional and cleaner for everyone. We often get asked about donations, you will notice at the top of the screen there is now a pull down donation panel, if you would like to donate to the site you can do this from there.

We still have some changed to make to make things a little easier and give you a touch more input such as FAQ migration to a new system, watch for that in the next coming days.

A user recently asked why we have banners in the footer - basicaly this boils
down to paid advertising - we offer banner advertising on this site ( no porn,
hacking, adult sites ) for a set fee of $5 per banner per month.

The webforms will be returning soon, we have been looking for a secure
functional option that also has a good validation and custom contact function,
as yet not found one but still looking.

for now you can contact the IRCops in
#ophelp or leave myself a message for anything else

Hi Kelly,
Having a few issues on getting the form done quickly,
if your 100% sure your channel meets all the requirements
( see them here ) then send me a memo with the channel and il place it under
review.
someone  - what's the deal?   |2008-04-25 20:29:30
It has come to my attention that nick hijacking is quite the problem on this
network. How does one go about reclaiming their nick when it has been stolen and
re-registered by the thief?

And why can't any ircops be found? Why is /stats
p disabled so people can't find them?

What good are they if you can't find
one when you need one? Kinda pointless to even have any isn't it?

Just
another perfect example of how poorly things are run here :/

Tell me how to
contact an ircop (one that's online on the network - I don't want no stupid
e-mail address)
and tell me how to advise my friends to go about reporting
their nick stolen and getting it back. Protect and help your users....

Hello someone,

IRCops can always be found in IrCQ-Net's helpchannel #ophelp,
there will always be one or more present there (active or away). When active
we'll try to help users as good and fast as we can, when away Chanops and/or
Ophelpers in that channel will advise users on how to contact (one of) the
IRCops if they really need one.

Users can join #ophelp for help when they have
IRC questions and/or problems, the name of the help channel is in every topic of
ICQ run channels.

If your friends get their nick stolen they can join #ophelp
and ask for help there.

Note: Every nick that's not registered is free to be
registered by someone else. If the nickname was taken by someone else and it was
not registered it is not "stolen".

I just wanted to thank X-Ception for the great work done on the ChanOps web
page. Very nice, informative, and easy to get around in. It's nice to see no
broken links in a web site. Also to fake for the Helper AddOn, man this is
great. Keep up the good work and keep us alive.
