Reznor our admin on IRCQnet announced last week about the  new  8 nicks per user policy that is being brought into force. Many users are sitting with 400+ nicks, not using them but collecting them. Between the collectors and the nick stealers it was getting slightly ridiculous that all the half decent nicks were being held. Anyone we know of who has more than 8 nicks or is collecting nicks will have all their nicks dropped.

Eggdrop nicks I have been assured will be safe, but it gives the admin the rights now to drop a heap of nicks without warnings if people start collecting.

When new services come, which will be soon ,8 nicks will be the maximum it will allow you to register. If you have 8 and want a new one you will need to drop one to be able to register the new nick.

So come on peoples dont be greedy get rid of all those nicks you dont need :)
