BotServ

BotServ puts a bot in your channel. The bot can kick flooders and shouters automatically, and lets ops use short !commands right in the channel. Talk to it with /msg BotServ ….

Bot names on LibraIRC come from /msg BotServ BOTLIST; the example name is only a placeholder.

/msg ChanServ OP #chan — type the black part exactly; replace the orange part with your own channel, nickname or text.

All BotServ commands (25)

Every command starts with /msg BotServ. Staff-only commands are left out. The network can turn some commands off — /msg BotServ HELP shows exactly what is on.

`BOTLIST`	Bots you can assign.
`ASSIGN #chan bot`	Put a bot in your channel.
`UNASSIGN #chan`	Remove the bot.
`INFO #chan`	Bot settings for the channel.
`SAY #chan text`	Make the bot say something.
`ACT #chan text`	Make the bot do a /me action.
`BADWORDS #chan ADD word`	Words the bot kicks for (SINGLE, START or END after the word changes matching).
`BADWORDS #chan DEL word`	Remove a bad word.
`BADWORDS #chan LIST`	Show bad words.
`BADWORDS #chan CLEAR`	Remove all bad words.

Settings (SET)

/msg BotServ …	What it does
`SET FANTASY #chan ON`	Allow !commands in the channel, like !op, !kick, !ban.
`SET GREET #chan ON`	Bot shows people's greet messages.
`SET DONTKICKOPS #chan ON`	Kickers never kick ops.
`SET DONTKICKVOICES #chan ON`	Kickers never kick voiced users.
`SET BANEXPIRE #chan time`	Bot bans lift after this time, e.g. 1h.

Kickers (KICK)

`KICK FLOOD #chan ON`	Kick flooders. Optional: ttb lines seconds.
`KICK REPEAT #chan ON`	Kick people who repeat themselves. Optional: ttb times.
`KICK CAPS #chan ON`	Kick for too many capitals. Optional: ttb min percent.
`KICK BADWORDS #chan ON`	Kick for words on the BADWORDS list.
`KICK COLORS #chan ON`	Kick for colours.
`KICK BOLDS #chan ON`	Kick for bold text.
`KICK UNDERLINES #chan ON`	Kick for underlined text.
`KICK ITALICS #chan ON`	Kick for italic text.
`KICK REVERSES #chan ON`	Kick for reversed text.
`KICK AMSG #chan ON`	Kick for the same message sent to many channels.

ttb = times to ban: after this many kicks the bot bans. Leave it out or use 0 to never ban.
